Shari Elliker wasn't born with a microphone in her hand,

but she should have been. Whether she’s quizzing MLB players on their favorite boy bands or gaining exclusive access to the Supreme Court trial of the Westboro Baptist Church, Shari has a gift for keeping people informed while keeping them entertained. A fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed by her peers. During her 15+-year career in talk radio, Shari’s been the recipient of two AIR Awards (Achievement in Radio) and named by the Associated Press as the  “Best Talk Show – Chesapeake Region” both in 2007 and 2008 for “The Shari Elliker Show.”

When you've got upwards of three hours to fill with interesting talk, you've got to have the gift of gab and be fast on your feet. Shari Elliker has proven in multiple markets and with hundreds of thousands of loyal listeners, that hers move at the speed of light. Whether she's talking about pending legislation, the latest political maneuverings, high profile criminal trials, or lighter topics such as the six beauty products that qualify as torture and the newly invented "bacon" cologne - Shari is never at a loss for words. And considering her reputation as a woman who loves to talk, it is rather ironic that she's as popular with men as she is with women 25-54.

Listen live to Shari every afternoon from 2pm to 6pm on Q1370
When Shari is not being Shari for her daily listeners, you never know where you're going to find her. It could be appearing as a witness in Homicide: Life on the Streets or as a hardened criminal in America's Most Wanted. One minute you might recognize her as the thoughtful voice on a PSA or the national pitchman for a client like Exxon. As an Aftra-SAG voiceover talent and on air actress, Shari has appeared in hundreds of television and radio commercials, as well as numerous films and independent projects.

Just because the microphone's turned off doesn't mean Shari's quirky take on the world shuts down. In fact, on paper she's able to let loose with abandon on laugh-out-loud subjects like her failure as a mother of two rescue dogs to her life as a devout hypochondriac and everything in between.
